  • Sequencing and cloning of antibody variable regions
    CD BioSciences performs RT-PCR on mRNA isolated from hybridoma samples using unique species-specific primer sets to amplify the target area. Antibody Variable Region Sequencing (AVS) is a reliable service of CD BioSciences, and more than 5000 sequences have been identified. More than 95% of the samples have been successfully identified, and at least one heavy chain and one light chain have been identified.
  • Molecular cloning
    CD BioSciences provides plasmid design and construction services, such as gene-to-protein, lentivirus/AAV production, which includes subcloning the target gene into a selected vector, and site-directed mutagenesis to introduce point mutations, small insertions or deletions.
  • Gene synthesis
    CD BioSciences can perform a variety of codon optimizations to improve expression in various expression systems (bacteria, yeast, insects and mammals). Promoters and epitope tags can be incorporated in any position to achieve optimal flexibility.
  • Plasmid DNA production
    CD BioSciences can produce almost endotoxin-free plasmid DNA in a variety of scales (maximum 1 gram). The endotoxin levels in all delivered endotoxin-free samples were on average less than 100 EU per mg of DNA. The final product is verified by restriction digestion or sequence analysis, and other analyses can be provided upon request.
