  • CD BioSciences has developed an efficient and reliable method to sequence antibody variable regions (VH and VL) in hybridoma cell lines or clonal primary B cells of various species.
  • CD BioSciences performs RT-PCR on mRNA isolated from hybridoma samples and uses unique species-specific primer pairs to amplify the target region. Antibody Variable Region Sequencing (AVS) is a reliable service of CD BioSciences, and more than 5000 sequences have been identified. More than 95% of the samples have been successfully identified, and at least one heavy chain and one light chain have been identified.
  • Even with technically difficult samples, the CD BioSciences method has shown a high success rate in many cases. The combination of CD BioSciences' AVS service and automatic data tracking and management system provides customers with absolute confidence in every step.
  • After successfully cloning the variable region, the sequence can be fused to various IgG backbones. Alternatively, the variable region sequence can be reformatted into various configurations of single chain Fv (scFv) or bispecific antibodies. Downstream analysis services can then be used to verify and identify transiently produced antibodies.
